We are speaking over Zoom and WhatsApp video call –from a bright room in his house in Istanbul, framed by shelves of books . One silver lining of this new world, where almost all meetings take place on screen, is that I am able to feel like I’m with him there, while actually being in Bursa, Turkey.

Emin,20, and I have been back and forth about this editorial for about a year, and Enough was Enough – we had to do it ! I commuted my way to Istanbul the following week, upon our last video chat discussing where and how our shoot would flow.

To my surprise, the night prior to our photoshoot Emin gave me a spontaneous call, telling me that the male model Eren,22, would also be joining us for our editorial which made me twice as excited to do this shoot. Little did Emin know, Eren and I had also been in talks about working together for a while and photographing them together was beyond my wildest expectations.

The styling was made by the eloquent Designer Emre Erdemoglu which was generous enough to give us his amazing pieces for our shoot. These boys wore the outfits like no one else could, As we walked towards our shooting location ‘Galata; Istanbul’ heads literally turned- people stopped on the streets – asked for selfies and the whole enchilada. They looked great!

We did the whole editorial in about 2 hours I would say and they were absolutely born for this – flying in the air- posing ever-so-effortlessly it was a definitely pleasure to be behind the lens and capturing these epic moments that will be forever frozen i9n time.
